Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows
A small 17th-century chapel with a single nave, covered by a star-shaped ribbed vault.
Chapel of Our Lady of the Snows
It is located between two houses on Pedro Arnal Cavero Street, just a few steps from Rafael Ayerbe Plaza Mayor.
It consists of a single nave divided into three sections, covered by a star-shaped ribbed vault, which houses an altarpiece composed of fragments from other, now-lost altarpieces. Some of these fragments are in the Renaissance style, while others are in the Baroque style.
The façade was built by stonemasons following the model of traditional religious architecture. Entry is through a semicircular arched doorway.
At the top, there is a brick bell gable.
An interesting feature of this façade is that the jamb of the entrance—which once housed an old door—is engraved with the silhouettes of two shoes. It is said that this may have been the shoemaker’s workshop.
