Last Saturday, June 20, 68 municipalities that are part of the Association of Spain’s Most Beautiful Towns became unique settings for celebrating the tenth edition of La Noche Romántica, one of the most iconic events on our towns’ tourism and cultural calendar.
The event was a resounding success in terms of participation, bringing together thousands of residents and visitors who enjoyed a special program designed to welcome summer in some of the country’s most beautiful heritage sites. Streets, squares, castles, and historic sites were adorned with special decorations that created a magical and welcoming atmosphere, inviting visitors to enjoy a unique experience in each participating town.

Throughout the afternoon and evening, there was a continuous lineup of concerts, musical performances, poetry readings, guided tours, cultural shows, food tastings, entertainment activities, themed decorations, the distribution of commemorative fans and balloons, and numerous leisure and entertainment options that brought the participating towns to life during this grand celebration.
One of the highlights of this year’s event was the extraordinary involvement of the local business community. Restaurants, hotels, rural inns, shops, and local producers in each region actively joined La Noche Romántica with special offerings for residents and visitors alike. Many establishments organized themed dinners and menus featuring local products, live musical performances, food tastings, and exclusive experiences designed for the occasion.
Accommodations also wanted to be part of this celebration by offering special packages for couples and visitors, themed decorations, welcome gifts, and complementary activities that allowed the experience to extend throughout the weekend. Thanks to this collaboration between local governments, businesses, and residents, La Noche Romántica once again became a major driver of economic revitalization for the participating towns.

The most eagerly awaited moment arrived right on time at midnight with the celebration of the now-traditional “Most Beautiful Kiss in the World,” an emotional, collective, and simultaneous kiss that took place in all participating towns. An initiative that transcends borders and is celebrated jointly with municipalities in France, Italy, and Wallonia (Belgium), making it one of the largest collective expressions of affection held in Europe.
Thousands of people shared this unique moment from some of the continent’s most beautiful towns, reinforcing the values of love, harmony, friendship, and unity that inspire this international initiative.
