The Provincial Theater Festival continues in Villanueva de los Infantes with “El juego de Gilmour”

On September 25, the Tomelloso-based amateur theater company Bakú Teatro presented “El juego de Gilmour” at the “La Encarnación” Municipal Auditorium in Villanueva de los Infantes. The performance is part of the program for the 35th edition of the Provincial Theater Festival, organized by the Ciudad Real Provincial Council.

“El juego de Gilmour” is an original play written and directed by Fernando Ruíz de Omas, director of Bakú Teatro. A curious psychological game—in which the audience participates—serves as the thread connecting three distinct stories that reflect the relationships within our society. A simple therapeutic exercise puts the bond of trust between friends and acquaintances to the test; it leads the characters to realize that loneliness, a lack of prospects, hypocrisy, and self-ignorance are the evils that stand in the way of happiness.

In addition to the audience from Infante, other spectators from Campo de Montiel were also able to attend the performance thanks to buses provided by the Provincial Council to facilitate access to the theater for residents of small towns. More than a hundred people from different towns in the region have benefited from this new initiative, attending yesterday’s performance and the one taking place today, Saturday.
