The Official List: The 10 Most Beautiful Towns in Spain, as Rated in 2026

The official list of the best-rated villages of 2026 is here. Albarracín (Teruel) takes the gold, with 4.85 out of 5; La Alberca (Salamanca), the silver, with 4.76, and Alquézar (Huesca), the bronze, with 4.78. All three received their awards this weekend at the gala dinner of the XIV National Assembly, in Alcúdia.

Neither an algorithm nor a search engine: it is voted on by travelers
Many lists of "the most beautiful villages in Spain" circulate on the internet, created by search engines, travel websites, or artificial intelligence. This is the official one. It is created by the Association itself, the one that grants the seal and audits every village in the network, and it comes from your ratings: those of you who have visited them.
Behind it is a community that never stops growing: more than 10,000 people already have the official app on their mobile and more than 7,000 have an account on the app and the website. Only the 126 villages in the network, all with a valid seal, compete.
The ten best-rated villages
2025/2026 edition: ratings from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, on a scale of 1 to 5. The order takes into account the average score as well as its reliability: a village with few reviews, even if they are five stars, does not rank ahead of another backed by many more. That is why some villages appear ahead of others with a slightly lower average.
