Almagro's First Music and Heritage Series Closes with Resounding Success

15 Oct 2026 · 21:14

The various concerts on the program have brought together performers from across Spain, all of whom have chosen to participate in a series designed to create a dialogue between live music and Almagro’s rich architectural and cultural heritage. The response from the music industry has been unanimous: it has been hailed as one of the most appealing events on this season’s cultural calendar.

The series has not only featured an outstanding lineup of artists but also an exceptional audience. Both the residents of Almagro and the numerous visitors who chose to visit the city during these weeks turned out in large numbers, filling the venues set up for each event and confirming the immense appeal of the concept: high-quality music in unique heritage settings.

The first Music and Heritage Series coincided with the arrival of the founding donation from the Order of Calatrava, a convergence that strengthened the link between the cultural programming and the celebration of the city’s historical legacy. That same weekend, Almagro welcomed a large influx of tourists, many of whom had come specifically to witness the arrival of the document and its incorporation into the city’s heritage, resulting in high occupancy rates at lodging facilities, restaurants, and museums. The convergence of these two initiatives allowed the public to explore a single narrative—that of music and its historical context—through both live performances and the documentary sources that underpin it.

Organized by the Almagro City Council, the series was created with the aim of bringing live music to the city’s heritage sites, generating new opportunities for musicians, and offering residents and visitors a unique cultural experience.
