Romantic Night in Santillana del Mar
Santillana del Mar will celebrate the 10th edition of “La Noche Romántica” on June 20. The iconic medieval town of Santillana del Mar, recognized as one of Spain’s Most Beautiful Towns, is once again decked out to host the eagerly awaited “La Noche Romántica” event. This coming Saturday, June 20, our streets, squares, and historic monuments will be transformed into a unique, illuminated setting to celebrate love and the town’s architectural heritage. The Department of Culture and Tourism of Santillana del Mar has designed a varied program of free musical and artistic events that will take place in the town’s most iconic spots, culminating in the now-traditional simultaneous kiss at midnight. Official Program of Activities • 6:00 p.m. | Concert by This Frontier Needs Heroes o Location: Outside the Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana. o An acoustic performance perfect for enjoying the surroundings of Cantabria’s most important Romanesque monument. • 8:00 p.m. | Performance by Nick Dittmeier & The Sawdusters o Location: Plaza Mayor in Santillana del Mar. o The heart of the historic district will come alive with the best live music. • 12:00 a.m. | The Most Beautiful Kiss in the World o Location: Town squares and streets. o Residents and visitors will come together for a collective, simultaneous kiss at midnight, connecting our heartbeats with dozens of towns across Spain all at once. Useful Information for Visitors To ensure a magical and comfortable experience, local restaurants, hotels, and shops have prepared themed menus and special promotions for the weekend. Attendees are advised to arrive well in advance due to the expected large crowds.
