Performances at the Corral de Comedias

Saturday, September 5 – 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Sunday, September 6 – 1:00 p.m.

For about 40 minutes, the Corral de Comedias in Almagro will come to life, attempting to recreate the adventures and mischief of Golden Age comedians, engaging visitors in a performance reminiscent of the comedies of that era.

A cast of actors and the unmistakable voice-over of Fernando Fernán Gómez will transport you back to the era of the open-air theaters. In a way that is both entertaining and educational, you’ll learn about the Corral, its architecture, and its history.

Everyone is welcome to this unique venue—a one-of-a-kind temple, as it is the only one of its kind preserved in the world. This dramatized tour takes place on weekends and holidays throughout the year, except during the months of January and February and during the Almagro International Classical Theater Festival.
