Málaga Manouche DjangoCamp 2026
From October 23 to October 25, 2026
Frigiliana will host the third edition of Málaga Manouche DjangoCamp from October 23 to 25, 2026, a musical gathering dedicated to swing, jazz manouche, and gypsy jazz that will bring together musicians and enthusiasts in a privileged setting in the province of Málaga.
Organized by the non-profit association Málaga Manouche, with the collaboration of the Frigiliana Town Council, this event offers an immersive experience where participants can learn directly from renowned international musicians, refine their technique, and share their passion for music through workshops, concerts, and jam sessions.
The 2026 edition will feature four prominent professionals of the genre: Tim Kliphuis, a Dutch violinist recognized for his fusion of jazz manouche with classical music and folk; Adrien Tarraga, a French guitarist specializing in the style of Django Reinhardt; Eva Slongo, a Swiss violinist and founder of the Jazz Violin Academy; and Jimmy Grant, an American guitarist and founder of Camp Django Oregon.
Over three days, attendees will be able to participate in masterclasses, instrumental workshops, group work sessions, individual lessons, and musical gatherings. The program also includes concerts and jam sessions, spaces where improvisation and the exchange of experiences will take center stage.
Schedule of activities
As a complementary activity, on Thursday, October 22, a concert by the four instructors will be held at La Polivalente, located at calle Lagunillas, 53, in Málaga. Tickets will be priced at 10 €, to be paid at the box office.
Málaga Manouche DjangoCamp 2026 turns Frigiliana into a meeting point for jazz lovers, offering an opportunity to learn from great international performers, discover new forms of musical expression, and enjoy creativity and improvisation in an atmosphere of cultural coexistence.
