Magosto Tradicional 2026

The town of Mondoñedo (Lugo), one of Los Pueblos Más Bonitos de España, celebrates its traditional Magosto, one of the most representative autumn festivities in Galicia, a day devoted to conviviality and local customs, where roasted chestnuts, popular gastronomy and music take centre stage.

The celebration will take place in the Praza do Concello, where residents and visitors can gather to enjoy a festive afternoon around traditional roasted chestnuts, accompanied by local wine and hot chocolate.

The programme will begin at 18:00 hours with a «Truco ou Trato de Samaín» activity, a walk through the streets of the old town that invites participants to enjoy one of the most popular traditions of these dates, especially among the youngest.

From 19:30 hours, the Traditional Magosto will begin, featuring a musical performance by María Faxeta, who will liven up an evening in which music and gastronomy come together to celebrate the arrival of autumn.

In case of rain, the activities will be moved to the arcades of the Cathedral of Mondoñedo, allowing the gathering to be held in one of the most emblematic spaces of the village.

Tasting of roasted chestnuts, wine and hot chocolate, accompanied by the musical performance of María Faxeta.
