MEDIEVAL WEEKEND

Medieval Weekend will be held in Rubielos de Mora from August 21 to 23.

The festival’s history began twenty-nine years ago with the revival of the traditional form of the bull-running with flaming balls: the “toro jubillo.” For the festivities, the electric lights are turned off, and we are illuminated solely by the glow of burning torches.

Year after year, this atmosphere of historical reenactment has taken shape, featuring a market, entertainment shows, theatrical performances, and above all, the spontaneous participation of the locals, who dress in period costumes for the occasion: beautiful ladies and knights, commoners, rogues, and minstrels stroll through Rubielos during those three days.
