The 3 Cims de Vilafamés is one of the most iconic and well-established mountain races in the province of Castellón. As part of the prestigious Lliga de Curses per Muntanya Castelló Nord, this sporting event brings together hundreds of runners and hikers every year who seek to challenge their limits in a unique natural and historical setting.

The event stands out for its technical atmosphere, its meticulous organization by the Club de Muntanya Vilafamés, and a demanding route that combines fast trails with steep inclines. With its start and finish in the picturesque municipality of Vilafamés—recognized as one of Los Pueblos Más Bonitos de España—the race offers an unparalleled sporting experience steeped in the essence of the Castellón hinterland.

Categories and Distances

To cater to different types of athletes, the 3 Cims features two main categories:

  • Trail 30K (+1.600m): The flagship race. A technical and demanding course designed for the most experienced runners. Its first 20 kilometers concentrate the three great peaks of the day, alternating vertical climbs and highly technical descents (some with equipped sections). The final part eases off with faster tracks and paths to push your legs to the finish line. This distance usually awards ITRA points and is a qualifier for the UTMB Index Races.

  • Marxa 14K (+590m): The perfect option for those starting out in trail running or looking to enjoy a demanding hiking trek. A much more accessible and fast circuit, which nevertheless maintains the scenic beauty and the undulating terrain characteristic of the area.
