THE FEAST OF SAINT ISIDORE AND HIS BOUQUET
To mark the feast of Saint Isidore, Poza holds a procession honoring the saint and his traditional bouquet. This bouquet consists of roses and "tostones" (a traditional local sweet shaped like a triangle, made of cookie dough and coated in liquid sugar). The young women of Poza, dressed in the town’s traditional costume and with ribbons hanging from the bouquet, parade through the streets until they reach the market square, where the bouquet is auctioned off in lots, followed by local culinary products.
