San Cristóbal: Drivers and Passengers
A festival full of tradition, celebration, music, and joy that transforms the streets of Linares de Mora every July 27.
One of the most unique and participatory festivals in Linares de Mora, held in honor of Saint Christopher, the patron saint of drivers. The day begins with Mass and the traditional blessing of vehicles, followed by the Chóferes and Rebotadas feasts.
The Rebotadas emerged as a response to the exclusion of women from the Chóferes celebration, creating their own festive space that, over the years, has become an indispensable tradition in the town.
In the afternoon, both groups take to the streets in a parade accompanied by brass bands until they meet in the Plaza, where the festivities begin with music, costumes, water, and lots of fun. The day continues with heifer bullfights, a foam party, and, in the evening, dinner, a bullfight with flaming balls, and a street party.
