What is the Burial of the Fox?
The Burial of the Fox consists of a fun procession through the streets of Bubión in which children and adults carry a stuffed fox, accompanied by a festive atmosphere and the music of a brass band.
In the past, the celebration also included what was known as the “Sermon of the Fox,” a tradition that is no longer commonly observed today. The procession continues amid music and merriment until it reaches the town square, where the traditional burning of the fox finally takes place.
