Selection and Singular: Extraordinary Places
Discover the differences between Selection and Singular: two national curatorial programs for exceptional or truly unique establishments.
Selection and Singular are not two tiers of the same luxury category. They are two distinct editorial perspectives that allow Los Pueblos Más Bonitos de España to discover extraordinary places both within and outside the network’s towns: some stand out for their excellence; others, because the experience of visiting them is hard to compare to anything else.
Two curations, two reasons to travel
Selection seeks out exceptional establishments with a distinct identity, quality, and a meticulously curated experience. Singular seeks out unique accommodations or experiences—whether in form, concept, or the way they engage with the surroundings—without requiring that luxury be their defining characteristic.

ExceptionalityHotels, restaurants, experiences, and businesses whose offerings deserve a top-tier editorial feature.
Singular LPMBE
UniquenessTruly unique places: to stay, dine, or enjoy an experience that defies conventional categories.
Exceptionality with its own editorial profile
The public /selection page presents the program and lists its establishments when active listings are available. It may include boutique hotels, signature restaurants, experiences, or other exceptional businesses from anywhere in Spain. They do not need to belong to a network town, though they may also be linked to one.
The public listing is currently in “Coming Soon” status: the API does not return any active Selection businesses. The page displays demonstrations to explain what the experience will be like, but separates them from the catalog and does not index them as participating establishments.
Uniqueness isn’t always measured in stars
/singular is designed for accommodations, experiences, and businesses whose value lies in being difficult to replicate: a lighthouse, a granary, a bubble, an unexpected structure, or a special way of interacting with the landscape. The criterion is editorial uniqueness— not being just another cheaper version of Selection.
It is also a national program and does not require participation in the network. Its public listing is also under “Coming Soon” because there are currently no active Singular listings. Nomination and selection are manual: submitting a location does not guarantee its approval.
View the product without pretending the catalog is already full
The Hotel & Spa Palacio de Cristal and Nido de las Estrellas listings are editorial demos. They exist within the product, and the listings present them as demos. Nido de las Estrellas also displays the “Demo” label within its own header. They serve to showcase the templates: description, gallery, rooms or spaces, cuisine, surroundings, experiences, and contact.
They are not actual registered hotels or accommodations; they do not appear in the public listings, and their texts should not be cited as available offers. G18 displays them because they are actual screenshots of the product and maintains their label so that no one confuses them with a commercial recommendation.

Discovery is open to the public; participation requires an application
Public listings and profiles do not require an account. When a business publishes benefits for members, the profile will indicate which ones; G17 explains how to read and activate them.
Submit your application at /selection/candidatura or /singular/candidatura. Approval is subject to editorial review, and payment is made afterward if the proposal is accepted.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Singular a cheaper version of Selection?
No. Singular selects proposals that are unique in their concept or experience. Selection focuses on exceptionality and superior editorial presentation. Price does not determine the criteria.
Do businesses have to be located in one of the towns in the network?
Not necessarily. Both programs are nationwide and accept businesses both within and outside the association’s towns.
Are the listings in this guide real businesses?
The screenshots of Palacio de Cristal and Nido de las Estrellas are examples marked as such. The actual public listings are currently under “Coming Soon.”
Do all of them offer discounts for members?
No. The benefits depend on what each establishment sets up. “Selection” and “Singular” describe the editorial program; they do not guarantee a specific percentage.
Can I submit my business directly?
Yes, by applying through the corresponding program. Applications are reviewed manually, and submitting the form does not guarantee automatic approval.
Where can I find the current terms and conditions?
On the /for-businesses page and on the application pages. G18 focuses on editorial criteria and avoids locking in prices or temporary promotions.
