Scan a QR code and check in: how to log a visit
Learn how to prove that you actually visited a town, a monument, a business, or a natural area, and how to turn that visit into progress for the Club.
At the Club, a visit counts when the system can verify that you were there. Manually checking in isn’t enough: you must either scan a Club QR code on-site, or use geolocation to confirm your presence inside the venue. That verification unlocks points, coins, your history, and real progress within the Club.
QR code for places you visit; GPS for places you reach
The Club chooses the method based on the type of location. Some points are validated only via QR code, others only via geolocation, and a few accept both.
Scan QR
Open the Club’s scanner or the code’s URL, aim it at the site’s QR code, and confirm. This is the standard method for monuments and establishments with the Club’s QR code.
Works for: Heritage sites, museums, businesses, and other locations with QR plaques.
Geolocate Me
Tap “Locate Me” when you’re physically in the town. The app checks your location and records your visit if you’re within the valid radius. If you’re near a natural site, it notifies you to validate it on its profile page.
Use for: Villages in the network; nature sites with the “I’m Here” button on the profile page.

When you’re within the town’s radius, Geolocalízame can record your visit and add range and coins.
Waterfalls, viewpoints, beaches, or caves are validated in the app with “I’m here” when you’re within the point’s radius. The proximity notification doesn’t automatically record your visit—you need to confirm it.
Monuments, museums, castles, and churches usually have a Club QR code to verify your visit on-site.
Hotels, restaurants, shops, and Club experiences validate your visit using the establishment’s QR code, or the establishment can scan your membership card.
At Club events, the organizer or staff will scan your membership card. It is not the event poster that is scanned.
Not all locations have a QR code, and not all natural points are loaded. If a location doesn’t support validation, the app will clearly let you know.
How to do it in the app
Your visit contributes to your progress
They help grow your verified history and help you move up in rank.
They fill your wallet so you can redeem rewards. A GPS visit to a town currently awards between 15 and 25 coins.
Your visit is recorded in your history and can contribute to achievements or, upon completing a town’s active challenges, an additional bonus.
The exact amounts depend on each location and the current rules. The app always displays the result of that specific validation.
What Doesn’t Count and What Limits Apply
QR code validations and geolocation of Club resources require an active membership. Registering a town via GPS is done through the app using your account.
Each location may have a waiting period or a limit on valid validations that count toward your score. If you’ve already reached the limit, the app will notify you.
Natural resources are validated within their radius. If GPS accuracy is too low, the validation will be rejected.

Can I log visits from the website?
Yes, you can scan a Club QR code on the website when you open the code. Geotagging a town or validating a natural resource with GPS is done in the app. You can view your history in both.
Does a manual visit earn points or coins?
No. It can serve as a personal keepsake or a marker on the map, but it doesn’t count toward verified status or the Club’s coin balance.
What happens if I scan a QR code I’ve already validated?
The visit may be recorded, or it may show that you’ve already added it recently. The cooldown prevents abusive point accumulation.
How do you validate a Club event?
At Club events, the organizer or a staff member scans your membership card. You don’t need to scan a QR code on the poster.
How close do I have to get to a natural site?
You must be within the validation radius of the location and tap “I’m here” on its details page. If you’re close but still outside the radius, the app will show you the distance.
Does it work without cell service?
In towns, the app can save the visit and send it once you regain a connection. At natural sites, the validation may also retain the capture date within a reasonable margin.
Do I need to be a member?
To check in using a QR code or the Club’s geolocation feature for natural attractions, yes: you need an active membership. Geolocating a town is done through the app using your account.
