Atienza — Alert Regarding the Spread of the La Mierla Fire

The La Mierla wildfire continues to spread toward the northern part of the province of Guadalajara. Although the fire has not yet reached Atienza and the town has not been evacuated or placed under lockdown, the leading edge of the fire is heading toward this area, and crews are working with heavy machinery to create firebreaks. The CM-110 remains closed between Atienza and Campisábalos, and several nearby towns have been evacuated or placed under lockdown. It is recommended to avoid traveling in the area, check road conditions before traveling, and follow the instructions of emergency services.
