XI Provincial Theater Meeting - "La España Prodigiosa".

The Almagro Municipal Theater presents "La España Prodigiosa" (Prodigious Spain), an evocative stage production by Carlos Silveira that expands Lorca's universe to explore the collective psyche of a town. The play invites the audience to look beyond the character of La Zapatera, delving into the lives, traumas, secrets, and desires of those neighbors who criticize her.

Set against the historical backdrop of the Spanish Transition, the play reflects that moment of duality where the hope of the new coexisted with the persistence of the old. Through this production, the author draws a parallel with the present, questioning whether we are currently experiencing a reverse transition and placing himself, as an act of resistance, in the place of his beloved Zapatera.
