Trevélez

High in the Sierra Nevada, Trevélez is one of the highest villages in Spain. Its fresh air and breathtaking views make it a natural refuge. Famous for its ham cured in traditional drying sheds, this Alpujarran enclave keeps the flavor of the mountains and the essence of the Moorish heritage.

Hanging on the heights of the Barranco de Poqueira, Capileira is a white haven of Berber architecture. Its cobbled streets and natural viewpoints offer a unique view of the Sierra Nevada. Here the Nasrid history blends with the silence of the mountain and the warmth of its rural tradition.

Between clear skies and ancient roads, Bubión preserves the calm of the deep Alpujarra. Its traditional urbanism and its natural environment allow you to walk trails of Nasrid origin. In every corner you can breathe the memory of a village that keeps secrets of the Andalusian history.

In the heart of the Barranco de Poqueira, Pampaneira is a labyrinth of Moorish streets and whitewashed houses. Its craftsmanship and wine tradition recall the echoes of an Arab past that resists time. Here culture is savored in its dishes and heard in its singing fountains.

Gateway to the Almerian desert, Nijar preserves the soul of its Moorish past in its white houses and pottery workshops. Between greenhouses and dusty roads, stands a village of rural traditions that smells of almonds and salt, and overlooks the Mediterranean from its slopes.

An ancient mining and Andalusian stronghold, Lucainena de las Torres is a white oasis among arid mountain ranges. Its irregular layout and traditional architecture tell stories of water, fire and effort. Its rural peace, between washhouses and ovens, revives the essence of Nasrid life in Almeria.

Hanging in front of the Mediterranean, Mojacar is an eternal viewpoint to the Muslim past. Its network of narrow streets, its whitewashed houses and its intense light reveal a town that seduces with history, art and sea. Here the Andalusian nostalgia mixes with the sun and the coastal breeze.

The Nasrid Route is a journey between sacred mountains, golden deserts and villages that still whisper in Arabic. It is a path of living memory, of viewpoints that tell legends and streets that keep the echo of a lost kingdom. An intimate encounter with the Moorish soul of the south.
