Short circular trail in Bulnes, in the council of Cabrales, within the environment of the Picos de Europa. It is a pedestrian route linked to the traditional access between the Castle district and the funicular, in a steep mountain landscape, wedged between rocky slopes and the valley of the Bulnes river. Due to its position and layout, it is one of the simplest routes connecting the village internally, although the environment is still clearly mountainous. The main interest of the itinerary lies in its landscape and ethnographic value: it allows us to recognize the dispersed structure of Bulnes, with its stone neighborhoods, and to understand how mobility was articulated before the arrival of the funicular railway. The surroundings combine popular architecture, cobblestone path and views over a high mountain territory very characteristic of the center of the Picos de Europa. Bulnes is known for being an isolated village, without direct road access, which has reinforced its image as a mountain enclave linked to hiking and the Poncebos funicular. The route is of interest both for its practical function and for its value as a small interpretative walk in a place of strong rural and landscape identity.
