Story about "La Pinochada".
The Pinochada (August 16) is a festival of Regional Tourist Interest that commemorates the victory of Vinuesa over Covaleda for the carving of the Virgen del Pino. Thanks to the decisive intervention of women armed with pine branches (pinochos), the image remained in the village. The ritual includes mock battles between married and unmarried brotherhoods, culminating with the women handing out "pinochazos" to the men under the slogan "from today in a year".
