Urban center (17th century)

To walk through Viniegra de Arriba is to go back in time. Its urban center is a harmonious set of houses built entirely of stone with Arab tile roofs. The details of its facades stand out, with noble coats of arms and large doorways that reflect the prosperous past of livestock and transhumance in the area. It is, without a doubt, one of the best preserved rural areas in Spain.

Church of Our Lady of the Assumption

Built in ashlar and ashlar stone, this church stands out for its sturdy square tower and semicircular portico. Its interior houses a valuable baroque altarpiece and a Romanesque baptismal font. It is the heart of the village and a perfect example of the architectural sobriety of the Siete Villas, rising majestically among the cobbled streets of the town.
