It is a palatial building typical of civil Gothic, built in the XIV-XV centuries and residence of the royal administrator. Its structure is typical of Valencian Gothic palace-houses with a semi-basement, mezzanine, main floor and attic, as well as having an inner courtyard and a rectangular tower. Acquired in 1971 by the Provincial Council, it was restored and today houses the Museum of Contemporary Art "Vicente Aguilera Cerni" of Vilafamés (MACVAC). It consists of 29 rooms where contemporary painting and sculpture are combined. The Museum has among its collections more than five hundred works, covering specific moments of artistic production ranging from the late twenties to the present day. Visiting hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 6:30 pm Mondays: CLOSED.
