It was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1975. In this circumstance influenced the fact of being in possession of a hamlet with fully medieval characteristics, as well as the existence of a walled set of the thirteenth century which is undoubtedly the best preserved in the province. The wall is joined, at the southeast end, to the castle, built in the eleventh century on an ancient Roman fortress.
