"Trevélez is a village located in the Alpujarra of Granada, less than 100 kilometers from the capital. It could be considered one of the towns with more history of our country since there are remains of Neolithic settlements and from the Araba period onwards the history of the town is very detailed. The municipality of Trevélez is located on the southwestern slope of the Mulhacén, at the confluence of the Chico and Trevélez Rivers.
