Museum of the History and Traditions of Tejeda
The Museum of Traditions of Tejeda is located in one of the most unique buildings of the municipality. Rehabilitated by a stonemasonry workshop school, it preserves the structural and decorative elements typical of a traditional Canarian house. For all these reasons, it is the ideal place chosen by the people of Tejeda to show their history and way of life. Through its different modules you can learn about the prehistory, the process of the conquest, the traditional rural trades and even recognize the extraordinary quality of the agricultural products of the area. In the museum you can contemplate several curiosities such as a room with a ceiling made of Tilla de Pino de Tea. You can also enjoy a recreation of an old Oil and Vinegar store, or the remodeling of the old straw house converted into an Audiovisual Room, where you can watch a documentary on the history of this unique and beautiful village.
