Teguise, a medieval jewel that preserves the charm of another era.

Located in the northeast of the island of Lanzarote, the town of Teguise was one of the first towns founded in the Canary Islands. Capital of Lanzarote until 1847, it preserves a remarkable group of buildings of great historical and artistic value. Highlights include the castle of Santa Barbara, now converted into the Museum of Piracy; the Spinola Palace, located in a manor house of the eighteenth century; the old church of Guadalupe, and the convent of San Francisco.
