1

Convent of San Francisco or of the Mother of God of Miraflores

The Convent of San Francisco de la Villa de Teguise, founded in the late sixteenth century, is a treasure of sacred art in Lanzarote. Although today only the church is preserved, the building stands out for its Mudejar coffered ceilings and baroque altarpieces. Historically it was the spiritual epicenter of the island and burial place of the local nobility, and today houses the Museum of Sacred Art.
2

Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe

The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, heart of Teguise, was born in the fifteenth century as an austere building without windows. After centuries of pirate looting and fires, its three-nave structure was consolidated in the 18th century. Despite a devastating fire in 1909, the people managed to rebuild it, keeping it today as the most imposing temple of Lanzarote and symbol of the identity of the Villa.
3

Spinola Palace

The Spínola Palace, built between 1730 and 1780 over the old houses of the "Inquisidoras", is the stately jewel of Teguise. This noble mansion stands out for its sober facade and elegant Canarian patios. Today, it houses the Casa-Museo del Timple, a space dedicated to the emblematic musical instrument of the islands, combining architectural history and Canarian sound culture.
4

Historic District

The historic center of Teguise, declared a Historic-Artistic Architectural Site, is one of the best preserved in the Canary Islands. Its layout, almost intact since the nineteenth century, invites to an immersion in the stately past of the island. Walking through its cobbled streets, among white houses with wooden balconies and stone facades, is to discover the most authentic flavor of Lanzarote's legacy.
