Historic District

The streets are paved on both sides of the Esca River, the town hall and a series of 18th century Pyrenean-style manor houses, such as Sanz Orrio, Gambra and López, some of which have been converted into rural lodgings.

Cemetery

The Roncal Cemetery is known worldwide for housing the Mausoleum of Julián Gayarre, a masterpiece by the sculptor Mariano Benlliure. This marble and bronze ensemble, awarded a prize at the Universal Exposition of Paris in 1900, stands out for its exquisite realism and lyrical symbolism. The cemetery, integrated in the Pyrenean landscape, offers an environment of serenity and art that honors the memory of the great tenor.

Julián Gayarre House-Museum

This house-museum pays tribute to Julián Gayarre, the famous lyric tenor of the 19th century and illustrious figure of Roncal. The space preserves the artist's personal legacy, exhibiting a valuable collection of costumes, original scores, letters, photographs and trophies. It is an intimate journey through the life and successes of one of opera's greatest voices, in the very home where he lived.

Church of San Esteban (XVI century)

Single nave of Gothic Renaissance style and starred vaults, doorway with semicircular arch, Baroque altarpiece and choir stalls and atrium from which to view the entire valley.
