A Ponte Maceira
1

A Ponte Maceira

Ponte Maceira, on the Tambre River, is a jewel of the Camino a Fisterra-Muxía. Its 13th century Romanesque bridge, built on Roman pillars, which links Ames and Negreira with its five main arches, stands out. The monumental complex is completed with a primitive settlement, old mills, a dam, the chapel of San Blas and the Pazo de Baladrón, forming one of the most beautiful pictures of rural Galicia.
Pazo do Cotón

Pazo do Cotón

The Pazo do Cotón, a baroque jewel of the 18th century in the town of Negreira, stands on the old Camino Real. Undisputed symbol of the city, its current structure is the result of centuries of reforms that hide its medieval origins. Linked to the troubadour Afonso Eanes do Cotón, of the court of Alfonso X, this spectacular complex stands out for its gallery of arches that crosses the street with a noble air.
