The Walls of Peñiscola

In addition to the Castle, which is located in the highest part of the tombolo, the entire Old Town, whose walls have been built at different times, shaping its powerful image of impregnable fortress. The walls are divided into three different zones and architectural and military structures. Of the three zones, the Renaissance wall that constitutes the front of the fortification stands out. Fortification of the sixteenth century designed by the famous architect J.B. Antonelli, being a sample of the peninsular military architecture.
