Jewels of Spanish Mozarabic art, built between 931 and 937 by the priest Salomon. Portada with double Muslim horseshoe arch on marble columns. It preserves inscriptions, tombs and the image of the Virgin of the Guiana (13th century). Exceptional example of Mozarabic architecture in the Valley of Silence.

Ponferrada, capital of El Bierzo and gateway to the Camino de Santiago. The Templar Castle is the most remarkable in northwestern Spain: BIC and National Monument since 1924, with 12th century walls, towers (Malvecino, Cabrera, Caracoles, Moclín), Old Templar Castle and Palace of the Count of Lemos. It houses the Templar Library and Templum Libri. Recommended visit from Peñalba (about 30 km).

Waterfall in the Valle del Silencio, in the Montes Aquilianos. It is reached by a hiking route from Peñalba (a climb of about 700 m from the main road); the circular route with the Cueva de San Genadio is about 5.8 km. Especially spectacular in spring. Forest environment and streams that gives its name to the valley.
