This fortification was acquired by the Basque painter Ignacio Zuloaga in 1926 and is currently the residence of his heirs. It is open from Wednesday to Sunday and they usually place a white sign on the entrance door announcing the visiting hours. After his captivity in the fortresses of Villalba de los Alcores, Ampudia, Villalpando, Berlanga and Castilnovo, in the castle of Pedraza were held two children of the French king Francis I, his heir the dauphin Francis and his brother Henry, Duke of Orleans.
