Mojaquera Statue · Mojácar (EN)

Since 1989 there is this monument to the Mojaquera Woman, made in white marble of Macael, by the sculptor from Almería Mª Ángeles Lázaro Guil, in homage to the effort of the woman who cultivated the land, took care of the house and the family and kept her people standing, in spite of wars, droughts and emigrations.
