Port of Alcudia
Port of Alcúdia Since Roman times the Port of Alcúdia has had a notable importance in the Balearic Islands, both for its commercial activity and for its strategic location in the Western Mediterranean. It is currently the second most important port on the island after Palma and forms part of the network of Ports of the Balearic Islands. Around a small nucleus of fishermen's houses, a world-class tourist center has developed. It has two very distinct areas: the area of small boats that consists of a marina and a fishing dock and the commercial dock, with a clear use for the supply of the island and the transit of passengers. In the port there is a mixture of traditional fishing boats and more modern boats dedicated mainly to recreational and sport fishing. Currently the Port of Alcudia has become a destination for cruise ship tourism. One of the main attractions of the Port of Alcudia is its promenade, which extends from the fishing pier to the beginning of the beach of Alcudia, has a very modern and pleasant style, with a wide range of leisure, gastronomic and commercial offer that allows us to enjoy a family and quiet atmosphere.
