Sa Bassa Blanca Museum
Sa Bassa Blanca Museum The Sa Bassa Blanca Museum offers a unique outdoor art experience, between sea and mountain, integrating art and nature in a magnificent Sculpture Park. This journey into the past of diverse cultures receives thousands of visitors from all over the world every year and is very appropriate for family visits. In the Sa Bassa Blanca Museum we have spaces such as the sculpture park created by Ben Jakober and Yannick Vu, as well as a precious gift such as the WISH TREE by Yoko Ono; the magnificent NINS collection of children's portraits from the 16th to the 19th century; the rose garden with its beautifully decorated sculptures by Ben Jakober and Yannick Vu; and the magnificent NINS collection of children's portraits from the 16th to the 19th century.XIX century; the walled rose garden; the Sokrates room, where works by Miquel Barceló, Doménico Gnoli, José María Sicilia, Gerhard Merz, James Turrel and Dolores Vita can be contemplated in dialogue with Tibetan masks and pre-Columbian artifacts, as well as an impressive curtain of 10.10,000 Swarovski crystals; and to top it all off, the fabulous building designed by the great Egyptian architect Hassan Fathy, filled with works from all over the world and with Mudejar craftsmanship from the 15th century. At the same time, a really special visit-experience is offered, an excursion to the Observatory on the top of the mountain overlooking the sea, inside which there is a very different "Aquarium" and a "Camera Obscura" created by the photographer Nilu Izadi. All this can be found here in Alcúdia and we want to share it with you.
