Obligatory passage of the Royal Road from Castile to Levante, it gained great importance during the XIV and XV centuries, becoming a dry port or customs house. The brave Júcar forced in different dates its restoration, the most recent in 1990, replacing the deteriorated coping by the erosion and paving based on natural stone of Alcalá, by the workshops of masonry and stonemasonry of the Workshop I School.
