Easter Week in Valderrobres

The Holy Week of Valderrobres, declared a Festival of Tourist Interest of Aragon, fills our streets again with tradition, emotion and solemnity with a full program of religious and cultural events that are part of our identity. The events will begin on March 21 with the traditional Tamborrada, in the Plaza de España, with the participation of the Brotherhoods of Valderrobres. This event, which has become an essential prelude to Holy Week, marks the beginning of some very special days in which the sound of drums and bass drums together announces the arrival of the Passion. The program will continue with the Friday of Sorrows, with the Procession of Friday of Sorrows and the Holy Mass in the chapel. On Palm Sunday, the Blessing of the Branches will be celebrated in the Cemetery and the subsequent Holy Mass in the Parish Church, in addition to the XXXVI Local Exaltation of Drums, Bugles and Bass Drums in the Plaza Comunidad Autónoma de Aragón. On Holy Wednesday there will be Holy Mass, confessions and the traditional Way of the Cross through the old town. On Holy Thursday, the Mass of the Lord's Supper, the Holy Hour and the solemn Procession of Silence through the streets of the municipality will be celebrated. Good Friday will begin with the Stations of the Cross in the Cemetery and one of the most anticipated moments, the Breaking of the Hour in the Plaza de España, where drums and bass drums will beat in unison announcing the Passion and Death of the Lord. In the afternoon, the Passion of the Lord will be celebrated and, in the evening, the solemn Procession of the Holy Burial. On Holy Saturday, the Easter Vigil will take place and, finally, on Easter Sunday, the Holy Mass will put the finishing touch to Holy Week 2026.
