HOLY WEEK OF RUBIELOS DE MORA

The Holy Week of Rubielos de Mora was declared a Festival of Tourist Interest of Aragon, for its Brotherhood of the Blood of Christ, which dates from time immemorial and has a rich heritage in images, which are processed along with the Musical Association Virgen del Carmen and the Association of Drums and Bass Drums "La Santa Cruz". The most peculiar feature of Holy Week in Rubiel is the participation of the Brotherhood of the Blood of Christ, whose members wear black tunics with hoods and the two annual clavarios wear purple tunics. In addition to the processions of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, there is another one on Easter Sunday known as the Encounter, which culminates with the celebration of the Eucharist in the Hospitalico. In the procession on Friday, it is worth mentioning the wrought iron statue made by Manuel Baselga. In addition these days the roar of the drums and bass drums is noticed both in the processions and in the exhibitions or "rompida" of the hour.
