Easter
Soria, Castilla y León
Since the XVI century, the processions have been carried out in the same way as today. Formerly and until 1976, the steps were kept in the Ermita del Humilladero, but due to its location, away from the town and for having been violated the entrance door, it was decided to leave them in the Collegiate. Currently there are three brotherhoods, the Vera-Cruz with white hoods, the Santo Entierro with black hoods and the most recent creation, the Piedad, whose hoods are white with purple sash and hood. The current processions are listed below and in parentheses the days they are taken out in procession: - Prayer in the Garden (Palm Sunday and Maundy Thursday). - Jesus tied to the column (Palm Sunday and Maundy Thursday) - Humility (Palm Sunday and Maundy Thursday) - Jesus with the cross on his shoulders (Palm Sunday and Maundy Thursday) - Jesús Nazareno de Medinaceli (Palm Sunday and Maundy Thursday) - Piedad (Palm Sunday and Holy Thursday) - Christ of Medinaceli ( Holy Saturday) - Christ of the Enagüillas (Palm Sunday and Maundy Thursday) - Sepulchre (Palm Sunday and Maundy Thursday) - Sepulchre that is in the Hermitage of Beato Julián (Good Friday) - Virgen de la Soledad ( Palm Sunday and Maundy Thursday) - Virgin Dolorosa. It is in the Hermitage of Beato Julián (Good Friday). All the processions are led by the golillas or bolillas, as they are popularly known, they are dressed in black suits and with gola (baberillo), until a few years ago they wore sword and cap or hat.
