Last Saturday, the Association of the Most Beautiful Villages in Spain held its Eastern Regional Assembly in Puertomingalvo (Teruel), a meeting that brought together representatives from municipalities in Aragon, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, the Balearic Islands, and Navarre.

The day combined the institutional meeting with a festive program of activities open to the public, including parades, jota performances, and a fair featuring local products from the towns that make up the eastern part of the network.

During the Assembly, issues of common interest were discussed, related to collaboration with public administrations, the improvement of digital tools, tourism promotion, and sustainable heritage management.

The meeting was attended by the national president of the Association, Francisco Mestre, along with mayors and municipal representatives from across the eastern area. The session was held at 1:00 p.m. in the Sala de la Villa de Puertomingalvo, after a morning of activities that filled the streets of the municipality with music, tradition, and life.

With this event, the Association reaffirmed its commitment to territorial cooperation, heritage preservation, and the promotion of sustainable, quality tourism, values that identify the most beautiful villages in Spain.

The media who wished to do so attended both the morning's festive activities and the opening of the Assembly, and were able to conduct interviews with representatives of the Association and local authorities.

This network encompasses places of great beauty and personality that exude history and culture in equal measure, villages marked by tradition that travelers can enjoy as they wander its streets and mingle with the locals.

The Most Beautiful Villages in Spain brand is a benchmark of prestige and quality both nationally and internationally. The initiative is based on the French model Les Plus Beaux Villages de France and is part of the Federation of the Most Beautiful Villages in the World.
