The association launches a revamped website and app that allows users to check procession routes in real time, plan itineraries, and access content in seven languages.
The network of Los Pueblos más Bonitos de España (The Most Beautiful Villages in Spain) has taken a qualitative leap forward in its digital strategy just in time for one of the most important periods for national tourism. With the aim of attracting both local and international travelers, the organization has presented its new digital platform, designed to offer an immersive and personalized experience during Holy Week.
The traveler at the center of the strategy
The association's president, Francisco Mestre, highlighted the importance of this advance for the future of the municipalities that make up the network. "Our commitment continues to be quality over quantity. With these new tools, we not only facilitate visits, but also allow tourists to understand the value of the heritage and culture that our towns treasure," said Mestre.
For the president, the use of technology is a key tool for the sustainability of the rural world: "Digitizing our traditions, such as Holy Week processions, helps us connect with new generations and international tourists, keeping our identity alive while fighting depopulation through tourism of excellence."
A smart guide for visitors
The big news this season is the integration of tools that go beyond conventional tourist information. The new platform includes:
Procession maps with real-time routes and points of interest.
A getaway planner by region, with personalized routes and suggestions.
Exploration of all the towns in the network on an interactive map.
Complete content in seven languages: Spanish, English, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, and Catalan.
A specific section on Holy Week with schedules, traditions, and recommendations for visitors.
With this revamp, Spain's most heritage-rich municipalities are boosting their competitiveness by adapting their age-old offerings to the demands of 21st-century travelers. The combination of history and cutting-edge technology promises to be the key to success for the 126 towns in the network during this holiday period.
