Berlanga de Duero is now officially one of the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain.

On Saturday, September 27, Berlanga de Duero celebrated its official proclamation as one of Spain's Most Beautiful Villages. The event, which brought together authorities, residents, and numerous visitors, was a success and marks a milestone in the history of this town in Soria.

With its incorporation, Berlanga becomes the sixth town in the province of Soria to join the network, reinforcing Castilla y León as the autonomous community with the highest number of certified towns, with a total of 30.

The president of the association, Francisco Mestre, highlighted in his speech the pride of adding Berlanga to the network, emphasizing "the extraordinary heritage value of its castle, the Collegiate Church of Santa María del Mercado, and its natural surroundings, which make this municipality a benchmark for cultural and sustainable tourism in Spain."

For his part, the mayor of Berlanga de Duero expressed the town's excitement and commitment to this recognition, thanking the efforts of generations who have known how to preserve and pass on its history and traditions.

The proclamation was attended by a large number of local residents and regional authorities, in a festive atmosphere that reinforces Berlanga's national and international tourist appeal.
