CELESTINA. El BULULÚ

Corral de Comedias

May 28, 2026 - 8:30 p.m.

Roberto Nistal, alone on stage, captivates the audience from the very first moment he steps onto the stage. Thus, he masterfully brings to life the twelve characters created by Fernando de Rojas through movement, vocal ranges, and simple props. Teatro de Robres presents this original and dynamic vision, bringing to life through the great actor Roberto Nistal the greedy complexity of that immortal Celestina who embodies wickedness, cunning, and moral decay, inviting reflection on the society of the time. Moreover, the character—the central figure of Rojas’s work—evokes as much revulsion as fascination, to the point of captivating and moving the audience.

Corral de Comedias

May 30, 2026 - 10:45 p.m.

This vibrant theatrical celebration begins with the unexpected appearance of the goddess Thalia, who gives birth to a peculiar troupe of characters born from the very essence of Golden Age comedy. Directed by Antonio Laguna, the play plunges us into a whirlwind of entanglements where impetuous lovers, braggarts, cunning hustlers, and perceptive servants find themselves caught up in hilarious and touching situations. The plot unfolds in a festive and lively atmosphere, seasoned with folk songs and the folklore of La Mancha, exploring the eternal conflict between carnal desires and social duties, life and death. It is a witty tribute to the minstrels and jesters, connecting the audience with the rich theatrical tradition of our Golden Age in an irreverent and joyful way, bringing the story to life before their eyes.

DON GIL DE LAS CALZAS VERDES

Corral de Comedias

May 31, 2026 - 6:30 p.m.

Don Gil de las Calzas Verdes is a classic of the Spanish Golden Age that continues to resonate powerfully in our time.

Written in the 17th century, this play is much more than a comedy of errors; it is a celebration of female wit and power—values that today, more than ever, we need to recognize and champion on stage.
