CASTELLAR DE LA FRONTERA WILL CELEBRATE SAN ISIDRO ON MAY 17 AT CERRO DEL MORO
The traditional San Isidro festival will take place on Sunday, May 17, at Cerro del Moro, a day of fellowship and tradition dedicated to the patron saint of farmers.
The planned program will include the traditional San Isidro procession and an agricultural parade of floats and horses, as well as a prayer in honor of the saint at Cerro del Moro. Various activities designed for all ages will also take place, including popular children’s games coordinated by the Camina Association and equestrian activities organized by the Santísimo Cristo de la Almoraima Equestrian Association.
As part of the festivities, the 2nd Paella Contest will also be held; registration will be open at City Hall from May 12 to 15. The organizers will provide 2 kilograms of rice to each registered participant.
The event will also feature the awards ceremony for the 2026 Pilgrimage of the Santísimo Cristo de la Almoraima, recognizing floats, riders, and horseback riders in both adult and children’s categories.
The City Hall encourages residents and visitors to participate in this festive day, which combines tradition, community, and family activities in a beautiful natural setting.
