Evento: 30 May 2026 · 11:00 — 14:00
The Interpretation Center organizes activities led by master craftsmen from the Royal Glass Factory of La Granja.
Nuevo Baztán once again highlights one of the most important historical traditions of its industrial past with a series of glassblowing workshops aimed at adults.
In 1720, the Crystal and Fine Glass Factory was founded in the town, a place where prominent master glassmakers were trained who would later work at the Royal Crystal Factory of La Granja. Now, that artisanal tradition returns thanks to the Nuevo Baztán Interpretation Center and specialized professionals from the historic Segovian factory.
The program will offer participants the opportunity to learn different glassblowing techniques through hands-on workshops led by master artisans.
The activities scheduled for 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. are:
Saturday, May 30
Colored glassblowing workshop
The activities are open to people ages 12 and older and will take place at the Juan de Goyeneche Palace.
Participation is free, though advance registration is required via email 📧 cinbaztan@madrid.org or by phone at 686 941 217 during the Interpretation Center’s opening hours.
This series is organized by the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Sports of the Community of Madrid, in collaboration with the Nuevo Baztán City Council and the Royal Glass Factory of La Granja.
A unique opportunity to discover and experience one of the historic crafts most closely linked to the origins of Nuevo Baztán.
