Livestock and commercial fair of Valderrobres

The Valderrobres City Council announces the Livestock and Trade Fair, which will take place on May 2 and 3, 2026. This event, now a fixture on the regional calendar, combines tradition, the agricultural and livestock sector, commerce, and activities for people of all ages.

Throughout the weekend, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a varied program that highlights the rural world, local customs, and the region’s economic vitality.

Highlights

Saturday, May 2
The day will begin with the traditional ox run with horses, followed by the arrival at the fairgrounds. Throughout the day, activities will include:

  • Demonstrations of traditional crafts related to wool

  • Gaming zone with tournaments and virtual reality experiences

  • Traditional sheep shearing exhibition

  • Festive activities such as the “Disco Vaca” and the bull-running with fireballs

In addition, the livestock contest awards ceremony will take place, along with recognition of the best participating farms.

Sunday, May 3 On
Sunday, the activities will continue with family-friendly and industry-specific events, including:

  • Gaming zone

  • 6th Livestock Dog Competition

  • Activities related to the livestock sector

Fair Venues

The fair will take place at various locations throughout the municipality:

  • Municipal Pavilion: area for commercial exhibitors and food vendors, with space for activities and a bar service

  • Livestock Area: animal exhibition

  • Traditional Market: a street market set up in the town’s streets

  • Amusement Area: located in the parking lot on Lope de Vega Street
