Symphonic Film Music Concert, a concert designed to introduce audiences to one of the most universal, emotional, and recognizable forms of contemporary symphonic music. Following the resounding success of the first edition, we return to the stage with a new selection of soundtracks ranging from unforgettable classics to some of the most recent productions in world cinema.
Film music has a unique quality: it is capable of telling stories without the need for words. It transports us to other worlds, gives depth to the characters, intensifies the emotion of each scene, and, often, stays with us long after the lights in the theater have gone out. From the grand epic themes of John Williams or Hans Zimmer to the melodic subtlety of Ennio Morricone, the expressiveness of Howard Shore, or the lyrical richness of composers like James Horner, this program celebrates the art of composing for the screen.
