El Sello de Los Pueblos Más Bonitos de España es una marca de calidad turística que distingue a aquellos municipios que cumplen con rigurosos criterios de patrimonio, conservación y compromiso con el visitante.
Otorgado por nuestra asociación, el sello garantiza una experiencia auténtica en cada pueblo certificado. Actualmente, más de 126 pueblos en 17 comunidades autónomas lucen este distintivo de excelencia.
Cada pueblo candidato es evaluado según seis pilares fundamentales:
- Patrimonio arquitectónico — Conservación del conjunto urbano y edificaciones de valor histórico.
- Riqueza histórica — Legado cultural y tradiciones vivas.
- Entorno natural — Integración armónica con el paisaje.
- Vida local — Población residente y actividad económica.
- Sostenibilidad — Políticas de conservación y desarrollo compatible.
- Acogida al visitante — Infraestructura turística de calidad.
Formamos parte de la red internacional Les Plus Beaux Villages de la Terre, que agrupa a asociaciones de Francia, Italia, Bélgica, Japón, Canadá, Suiza y otros países.

Each candidate village is evaluated according to six fundamental pillars that guarantee its authenticity and quality.
Architectural heritage
Conservation of the urban complex, monuments and traditional buildings of historical value.
Historical wealth
Cultural legacy, living traditions and intangible elements that define the identity of the people.
Natural surroundings
Harmonious integration with the landscape and respect for the surrounding environment.
Local life
Resident population, basic services and economic activity that keep the town alive.
Sustainability
Conservation, maintenance and development policies compatible with the values of the town.
Visitor welcome
Quality tourism infrastructure and commitment to the traveler's experience.

How is the seal obtained?
The certification process is rigorous and transparent, designed to ensure that only the most exceptional villages receive the label.
Initial application
The municipality presents its candidacy with documentation on its heritage, history and services.
Technical evaluation
A committee of experts analyzes compliance with the established criteria.
Verification visit
On-site inspection to check the actual condition of the town and its resources.
Committee decision
The Quality Committee issues its verdict and, if favorable, awards the seal.
The Association
The Most Beautiful Villages of Spain is a non-profit association founded in 2010 by a group of mayors committed to the preservation and promotion of Spain's rural heritage.
Our mission is to raise awareness of these exceptional places, to promote sustainable and respectful tourism, and to support local communities in the conservation of their historical and cultural heritage.
