Meet the association that promotes and preserves the heritage of the most beautiful villages in Spain.
The Association of the Most Beautiful Villages in Spain is a nonprofit organization founded in 2010 that brings together Spanish municipalities distinguished by their heritage, beauty, and uniqueness.
Our mission is to protect, promote, and develop Spain’s rural heritage, fostering sustainable, high-quality tourism that contributes to the development of these unique destinations. The “Los Pueblos Más Bonitos de España” brand distinguishes those municipalities that meet the rigorous criteria outlined in our Quality Charter.
The association is governed by a Quality Commission composed of seven members, responsible for evaluating applications, verifying compliance with the criteria, and ensuring the proper use of the brand. Member towns commit to maintaining the required standards and investing in the conservation and promotion of their heritage.
We are part of the international network Les Plus Beaux Villages de la Terre, which brings together associations from France, Italy, Belgium, Japan, Canada, Switzerland, and other countries, sharing criteria of excellence and best practices in the promotion of rural heritage.
Currently, more than 126 villages in 17 autonomous communities are part of our network, generating a positive impact on the local economy, tourism, and the preservation of Spain’s cultural heritage.
